2009 All Ford Day
Noah's Ark, Big Beneficiary from AFD 2009
After a very successful show in 2009 the All Ford Day committee were able to donate over $20 000 to local charities. Most of the funds raised from the 2009 show went to purchasing valuable resources, mainly toys, for the Noah's Arc foundation.
Members from both the Falcon GT Club and Mustang Owners Club loaded their car boots with all the goodies and delivered them to Noah's Ark Headquarters. These were no ordinary toys, they all had specific purposes to help children with a range of disabilities.
In addition to the purchase, a cruise and BBQ lunch was organised for the families of both Noah's Arc and Camp Quality. Members of the Mustang Owners Club and Falcon GT Clubs gave their time and transported the families in their club cars. This was the second such cruise for the AFD and it provides club members with an opportunity to meet the people who benefit from all the fund raising, and it gives the families with some light relief from the stresses of day to day life dealing with the special needs of their children.
The AFD continued its' support of the Duncraig SHS Bush Rangers WA after the 2009 show. Donating $2000 to the group to grow salt tolerant trees to be planted in the Tambellup area. Chair person Wilf is seen below handing over the Cheque made from recycled paper, to cadets.
